In 2005, after two years of planning and discussions with potential customers about capabilities, processes, technology and more, ITA secured its first business contract. “I knocked on a lot of doors,” said Mike Melo, chief executive officer, owner and founder, ITA. “I kept going back knowing I would eventually get a contract. I knew what I wanted to accomplish, I had a vision and I kept pushing forward.”
Sixteen years later and over 325 ITAers strong, ITA is solving complex world issues for clients using data and dialogue. Over the past year ITA has seen much success: the company won a $50 million contract to support the U.S. Air Force stand up a new data-driven Spectrum Warfare Wing, acquired and fully integrated Innovative Decisions International, a management consulting firm specializing in decision and risk analysis, data analysis, operations research and systems engineering, and continued to expand environmental security initiatives.

The School will consist of cutting-edge environmental security academic programs, including a proposed new master’s degree to provide students with the skills, tools and techniques for understanding and managing traditional environmental issues.
