ITA International Awarded V3 Veteran Employment Grant

ITA International, LLC (ITA) was awarded the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Employment Grant by Virginia Governor McAuliffe in Fairfax on July 22, 2015. Receiving the award for the company was Mike Melo, President and CEO.

The V3 Veteran Employment Grant was designed to increase participation in the V3 Program and encourage the hiring of talented and dedicated veterans. ITA International is a longtime member and supporter of the V3 Program of the Virginia Department of Veterans Services. Through the V3 Program, ITA has developed strategies to recruit, hire and retain 82 Veterans since 2012.   Speaking at the award’s ceremony Governor McAuliffe said, “Capitalizing on the talent, motivation, leadership, and commitment that veterans bring to Virginia’s workforce is essential to building the new Virginia economy.”

As a recipient of the V3 Veteran Employment Grant, ITA will continue to apply innovative ways in hiring and working with veterans who are transitioning into civilian life.

ITA is a certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with mature processes and procedures that are not typical for an SDVOSB. ITA has a Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) approved accounting system; a robust third-party Certified International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Services (OHSAS) 18001 management programs.
