ITA International Announces Lauren Campbell as Director of Innovative Solutions

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Sept. 3, 2020 – ITA International (ITA) announced Aug. 20, Lauren Campbell was promoted to director of Innovative Solutions, reporting to Mike Melo, chief executive officer at ITA. She previously served as program manager of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR).

“Lauren is a hardworking and results oriented leader. Her superior operational support, government contracting experience and SBIR program expertise will enable ITA to aid customer acquisition of decision support tools,” said Melo. “We are looking forward to what she will accomplish in her new role.”

Campbell will be responsible for leveraging SBIR technology and tools to expand and grow the SBIR Program for ITA by working with potential clients to understand and apply SBIR procedures and develop SBIR acquisition packages to operationalize organization requirements.

Before joining ITA in 2017, Campbell served on the U.S. Navy contracting team for the Supervisor for Shipbuilding where she worked on contract awards, quality control and also served as the lead public relations officer.
