Newport News, VA – ITA International is excited to welcome Mark Honecker to lead ITA Global Security (ITAGS) Business Unit as President. Honecker will provide executive leadership to the Operations Group and Marine Engineering Group.

As ITA enters our second year of transformation from a mature small business to a middle market company, Honecker will be charged with developing innovative solution sets for a diverse group of government and commercial clients, and driving business growth to meet corporate goals for 2020 and beyond.

Prior to joining ITA, Honecker spent over 33 years in civilian service to the U.S. Navy. After a variety of experiences in the Pentagon, in September 1998, Mr. Honecker was appointed to the Senior Executive Service (SES) working for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (Fleet Readiness and Logistics) with collateral duties as the Chief of Naval Operations principal business transformation executive. In April 2005, Mr. Honecker relocated to Norfolk to be the Deputy Commander, Naval Network Warfare Command.
Then, in May 2006, Mr. Honecker was selected to be the Executive Director/Chief of Staff U.S. Fleet Forces Command. Mr. Honecker also served as the CNO’s Senior Navy Civilian. He received a B.S. degree in both Business Administration and Economics, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from The American University, has completed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Seminar XXI program in Foreign Politics, International Relations and National Security and is a 2009 graduate of the Hampton Roads CIVIC Leadership Institute.
