Newport News, Va. – June 8, 2023 – ITA International (ITA), a leading provider of data, technology and professional services, hosted an open house, June 6, to celebrate the launch of its new business unit, ITA Stability and Sustainability (ITASaS), and to showcase the company’s new office location at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, a hub for innovation and collaboration.
“We are excited to now be able offer our customers a wider range of solutions to help them achieve their sustainability goals,” said Mike Melo, owner and founder of ITA. “We believe that ITASaS is well-positioned to be a leader in the stability and sustainability space, and we are confident that our team has the expertise and experience to help serve those, In The Arena.”
During the open house, Dr. Abdoulaye Doucoure, senior research analyst, led a demonstration showcasing a test for tracking the leaching of contaminants into the water supply. This innovative demonstration specifically focused on quickly detecting residual amounts of harmful pollutants captured by resins and concentrated on porous membranes. These tests are cost-affordable, easy to carry out and can track low levels of compounds such as perfluorooctanoic acid or lead in water. Photo by: Peter Means.
